Social Enterprise & Entrepreneurship, (SEE), Northern Region Partnership
NORDIK is seeking a Northeastern Ontario Social Enterprise Development Coordinator for the Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship (SEE) Northern Region Partnership. SEE is a NORDIK Institute led collaborative with a number of organizations across Northern Ontario currently delivering entrepreneurship and enterprise development services.
Social enterprises have a mission to address social, environmental or cultural challenges by reinvesting profits above operational expenses back into their missions, and using a triple bottom line (people, planet, profit) to measure their success. Social enterprises take many forms, including sole proprietorship, non-profits, and co-operatives to name a few. The Northeastern Ontario Social Enterprise Development Coordinator shall organize training and networking events, and deliver specific targeted sessions to support further development of social enterprises and social entrepreneurs across the region.
Contract Length: This is a six-month contract with the possibility of an extension.
Location: This position is located in Timmins at the Timmins Economic Development Corporation.

Under the direction of the two Social Enterprise Development Specialists and the Manager of Community Economic Development, Timmins Economic Development Corporation, and in collaboration with the Steering Committee, the person will be responsible for:
Qualifications and Requirements:
The candidate should possess a degree in Community Economic and Social Development, Business Administration or a degree in another Social Science discipline.
